MOZART: VIOLIN CONCERTOS NR. 4 AND NR. 5
Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major, K. 218, was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775 in Salzburg. The first movement is nicknamed the “military” Mozart Concerto while the second movement consists of melodic lines. The third movement is joyful and full of fun.
Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major, K, often referred to by the nickname The Turkish, was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775, premiering during the Christmas season that year in Salzburg. It follows the fast-slow-fast musical structure.
