Analog Manufaktur Germany - The Art of Precision

"In my previous experience, only the finest turntables and tonearms have been consistently able to do what the AMG V12 does...this feat of engineering smarts and manufacturing prowess earns my warmest recommendation (and sincere applause)...a truly first-rate (and truly original) audio component ." - Jonathan Valin, The Absolute Sound USA

“AMG has now given us two world class turntables, two world class tonearms and an incredible moving coil cartridge for the money. Not bad I’d say for a company’s first five products.” - Jack Roberts, Dagogo USA

The AMG brand was created in 2011, with a collaboration between a German family’s precision manufacturing facility and a group of audio industry experts, to advance the art of vinyl playback. Werner Roeschlau, his son Julian Lorenzi and other master machinists had been manufacturing precision parts for many German turntable companies since the 1990s at their small multi-story Bavarian factory located north of Munich. Werner had created numerous special designs for the turntable platter/ bearing, tonearm and drive motor and realized these in-house with exacting machining and unmatched value.

AMG made its official debut at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, where the Viella 12 (or AMG V12) caught the attention of the press, the industrial design community, and audiophiles. The AMG Giro, embodying the AMG design philosophy and precision, albeit with a smaller footprint and tariff, was their next turntable. It was brought to market by Julian Lorenzi, now Managing Director of AMG,

In Spring 2015, AMG opened a larger custom factory in Deining Germany to meet the growing worldwide demand for both the Viella and Giro turntables. Their flagship Viella Forte turntable was introduced in 2019, building upon the precision design that rocketed AMG to the pinnacle of German turntable manufacture.
